66% of adults in India vaccinated with at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose

According to the Center, 66% of the eligible adult population in India have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The government stated that 61.85 crore individuals have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 21.55 crore have received their second dose thus far. The Center also informed that 18 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the first 22 days of this month while 18 crore people received their doses in 30 days in August. Six states/UTs have inoculated 100% of their adult population with the first vaccine dose. These include Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Sikkim. Four states/UTs have given the first dose to 90% of the adults, which include Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Kerala, Ladakh and Uttarakhand… (India Today, September 23, 2021)
